the multidisciplinary and global nature of our network, Taking Responsibility
has held several seminars over the past two years.

Interim Conference -
Harmonizing the Multidisciplinary Research of the Project
May 20- 21, 2006 at The Hilton Hotel, Kingston Jamaica
From
May 16-21, 2006, the project held its Interim Research Conference
at the Multi-functional Room, The University of the West Indies,
Mona Campus and The Hilton Hotel in Kingston. Almost all the project’s
researchers were in the island participating, and it was an exciting
time as all the research groups made presentations on their findings
to date ensuring cross-fertilization of ideas among all the participants.
The main objectives of the Conference were to:
• Harmonize the multidisciplinary research
of the project and,
• Structure the main recommendations.

Research
Day 2005 & 2006
UWI Mona, Kingston Jamaica
Each year since 1998, the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus
has held an annual Research Day. The two days are meant to highlight
current and future research activities of individual members of
staff as well as departments on the campus, and serves as a means
of stimulating public interest in the work of the University.
